iPhone UDID Validator
Paste an iPhone or iPad UDID to normalize presentation and catch obvious copy, separator, character, or truncation problems. The value stays in this browser.
What this UDID checker can tell you
This tool removes presentation spaces and hyphens, normalizes letter case, and checks whether the remaining value uses plausible hexadecimal characters and a reasonable identifier length. It is useful for catching copy-and-paste damage before a developer attempts device registration.
It does not contact Apple, query a developer account, identify who owns the phone, or prove that the physical device is eligible for a specific team.
What a valid-looking result does not prove
- The identifier came from the tester's current physical iPhone.
- The device is registered in the Apple Developer team that owns the app.
- The device is selected in the intended Development or Ad Hoc provisioning profile.
- The final IPA embeds the refreshed profile.
- The delivered artifact is the same build the release engineer verified.
A UDID can be perfectly formatted and still fail later in the authorization chain.
Choose the next step
- What is an iPhone UDID? — understand which identifier Apple registered-device testing uses.
- Find an iPhone UDID in Finder or Xcode — retrieve it from a trusted Mac.
- Find a UDID without a computer — understand phone-only collection and consent boundaries.
- Register an iPhone UDID — add the device to the correct Apple team and diagnose “No Such Phone Registration Entry”.
- Add a UDID to a provisioning profile — use this after registration when the device must be included in a specific profile.
